Here are a few pictures from our mini photo session. It was POURING down rain that morning so not exactly the ideal weather conditions or location we hoped for but the important thing is that we got them done! Ever since John passed away, I've been really good about taking pictures (now finding the time to post them to my blog is a different story!) because you just never know...

Just Because...
I love finding sweet notes from Brecken...
And then there's this crazy little lady...I never know what to expect from her!

Easter with the Cousins
The Newhall's hosted Easter at their house this year...it's still so strange having all of our families (minus Nana and T) together for holidays. When we were all living in different states, this was hard to do! I'm very blessed to have my sisters and their families so close by!
We had a great time...luckily for me, the kids were more interested in eating their Easter candy on Easter and didn't ask for it again. Their sugar highs were short-lived!

Safety Town with the Kindergarteners
I took the morning off and went to Safety Town with Brecken's kindergarten class. Talk about fun and organized chaos....22 kids getting to ride their own jeeps....you can only imagine! The parents were dodging the jeeps trying not to get run over and trying to stop the kids from running into buildings (yes, this happened!), signs, and each other. The firefighter (with his cute Texas accent!) told the kids on their way out to do him a favor and ask for a bus pass on their 16th birthdays. I couldn't agree more....they do not want to see these crazy kids on the road!
Brecken was blessed to have an amazing Kindergarten teacher and a great group of friends in his class. We're excited to see what the future holds for these crazy kids!

Tornado Season
So far, we're loving everything about Texas except for tornado season. Since we don't have basements here, it can be a little scary at times. Here are pictures of us hunkered down in my closet of all places. Brecken is totally content....all the boy needs is his iPad and he would be content for hours (if I let him, of course!).
We had ordered pizza on-line earlier that day and I was completely shocked that it actually came....talk about customer service. We tipped our driver extra good and told him to go home! Here we are having a picnic in my bathroom.
Here are pictures of the crazy hail in our backyard...it got even worse later but I wasn't about to go back outside.
Lots of people in our neighborhood had hail damage and are still getting new roofs put on today. I'm thankful that we didn't have any damage and also thankful that my babies weren't at Primrose when this happened...I would have been a nervous wreck!

Easter Egg Hunt at the Tribute
We joined the Newhall Family and Nana Janece for a fun-filled day at the Tribute. The kids hunted for Easter eggs, rode rides, climbed the rock wall, and much more....
Survivor Bound
Uncle Michael made one last visit to Dallas before leaving for Nicaragua to film Survivor. He spoiled these little monkey's before he left. We won't see him for 6 months but we've been keeping in touch via FaceTime...gotta love technology!
We miss seeing him but are so excited that he had this opportunity....what an AMAZING experience....we're excited to see what the future brings for him after this.
