A little bit of this, a little bit of that...

Here are some random pictures for your Thursday...

I never know what to expect when I check on her.  Apparently on this night, she was not a fan of the jammies I picked out for her because she was NOT wearing this when I put her down!

I have no clue...
Girls night out in Dallas with some of my best friends from Blue Valley Northwest High School....love these ladies!
Getting her nails painted with Mommy.  B was such a good sport and worked on legos the whole time.
Emma got Mr. Logan all snuggled up....to this day, she still wears a burpie on her head (just like Logan in this pic!).

Dallas Half...Check

Another one down....I survived the Dallas Half after Spring Break and actually got a new PR (1:53:53).  Not too bad for making up my own training schedule....one of these days, I'll actually follow the advice of experts and do the training I'm supposed to do.  Until then, I'll take what I can get which usually consists of running on the treadmill at night after the kiddos are down for bed.  As for this one, I was just happy to be walking afterwards...I'm getting too old for these!!!

Spring Hat Parade

Here are pictures from Emma's Spring Hat Parade at Primrose.  She was less than enthusiastic to participate in the actual parade but so excited to play with her little buddy Brynlee afterwards.  I don't blame her....playing is way more fun than wearing a silly hat on your head.  :)

When it was over, we went to Sweet Frog for yogurt and then headed home to watch Frozen.  Such a fun little day!

The Twins Turn 4

Brecken and Emma's little buddies, Sofie and Jackson, turned four!  The kids all had a blast at My Gym.  I was definitely slacking on taking pics...they were having way too much fun playing and I was busy supervising Emma so she wouldn't wind up in the hospital (that girl is fearless!).

Happy Birthday, Sofie & Jackson!  We can't wait to celebrate with you again next year.

Spring Break Texas Style - Part 3

The last day of our trip we drove to the Natural Bridge Caverns to explore the caves.  This was pretty cool!  Brecken was definitely way more into it than Emma....I was a nervous wreck part of the time that she was going to slip on the standing water, fall over the railing, and end up in some dark hole and have to be rescued.

Afterwards, we drove to Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels.  A word to the wise...if you think Spring Break in Texas is always hot, you may want to think again.  The weather was abnormally cold for this time of year so Schlitterbahn was freezing.  It didn't bother the kids at all....they were having a ball!  We were supposed to spend the night there but had some people in the room next to us that totally freaked me out so we drove to Austin and spent the night at the Marriott there.  I have never been so excited to be in a clean, safe hotel, free of weirdos with my precious kids.

We had a great time on Spring Break!  The kids are still talking about it today and asking when they can go back to Sea World.  Only next time, we'll venture out to California again to visit Uncle Michael (once he's done being famous filming Survivor!).

Spring Break Texas Style - Part 2

We had a fabulous time at the San Antonio Zoo.  Highlights were feeding the lories, riding the carousel, seeing the huge python (Brecken's favorite),  and visiting the rhinos and elephants (Emma's favorites).

My little guide

All tuckered out for an afternoon nap!

Later that afternoon, we headed downtown to visit the Alamo and do some sightseeing.

We ended our night at the River Walk for Mexican food and a mariachi band (Emma loved this!) and Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream...this mama was happy!

The cute cowboy...Emma asked if he was real :)

Last stop....Schlitterbahn, the caves, and Austin!
