Spring Break Texas Style - Part 1

A few weeks ago, I took the kiddos on Spring Break all by myself and survived!  I've taken them on plenty of trips, airplanes, etc. by myself but we always meet someone at our final destination.  This time, it was all me!  We ventured down to San Antonio for a fun-filled week.  We had a great time although I'm not going to lie...there were definitely some meltdowns where I was about to grab a complete stranger and ask them how much they would charge to hang out with us for the day.  SeaWorld was a lot for a 4-year old without a stroller...lesson learned although she was adamant that she did not need one!  The only good thing about this was that there were plenty of other families (with a mom and dad there) who were experiencing the exact same thing...meltdown mania...so I guess we're pretty normal after all.  :)

The first night there, we headed down to the River Walk to do a river cruise, eat dinner, and go on a carriage ride.  Emma was in horse heaven....of course that's all she wants now!

The next morning, we headed out to SeaWorld.  The kids favorites were watching the Shamu Show, the Azul Show (starring Beluga Whales and dolphins), getting their faces painted, feeding the sea lions and petting the dolphins.  I literally could have left Emma with the dolphins for the entire day and she would have been on cloud 9 and not moved an inch (those of you that know her, know that this is huge).  So, apparently I need a horse and a tank of dolphins now....this trip is getting more expensive by the day.

Emma's expression says it all...I still can't believe she touched the sardines!

It was cold and rainy at this point but we survived!

Ending the night at Jimmy John's
Next up....the San Antonio Zoo!
