The kiddos and I just returned from a great week out in California visiting John's brother, Michael, and his girlfriend, Christina. They were the best hosts ever!
The kids were fabulous little travelers and did lots of stickers, reading books, coloring, and playing with toys on the airplane. When we arrived in Los Angeles, John's parents, Patty and Arv, met us at the airport along with Uncle Mikey.
First stop....In-N-Out Burger right by LAX. We had a picnic while we watched the airplanes fly right over our heads. The kids loved this.

Next stop....Venice Beach. The kids had never been to a real beach before so this was great. Emma hates things on her feet so she was not a fan of the sand at all. She eventually warmed up to it a little but I won't ever have to worry about her wanting to be a beach bum someday. Brecken on the other hand....LOVED the beach. He.could.not.get.enough! He wanted to eat dinner on the beach, sleep on the beach, and bring all of his toys to play on the beach. Needless to say, he may be attending college someday on one of the coasts.

We had a great first day in LA...tomorrow's agenda....Disneyland!!!
