The day started off by helping Nana water all of her plants...this is a job in itself! Nana has quite the green thumb and the kids loved using the watering cans...they got plenty of practice!
Afterwards, we took a morning walk on the golf course (in jammies of course!). This is by far one of my favorite things to do when I'm back at my parents house. The golf course is so peaceful at this time of day and the kids love exploring to see what they can find.

For lunch, we met up with some of the firefighters and their wives at our favorite pizza place in Lawrence. This was the first crew that John started with at the fire department so to say that we've been though a lot together is an understatement. These are some of the greatest people I know!

The rest of the day was spent napping, exploring more, and patiently waiting for Grammy and Poppy to come over for a BBQ.
