The night before, Grammy and Poppy showed up (just in time!) to celebrate Emma's birthday with us. We were so thankful that they got here when they did because they definitely wouldn't have made it had they waited one more day...the ice would have been too much to handle, even for an Iowa farm boy.
Apparently, our elf was feeling a little mischievous that day as well....
