Kensington Cottage

Those of you that watched "The Bachelorette" this past season with Emily Maynard will probably remember the Dallas hometown date (who could forget?) when we were introduced to the Lowe Family and Kensington Cottage.  For those of you that don't watch reality TV, Kensington Cottage is this amazing little playhouse that the Lowe's had built for their granddaughter, Kensington.

I fell in love with the house when I saw the episode air on TV and inquired about it.  Long story short, I had the opportunity to meet Bob (the builder of the home) at the Lowe residence (what a sweet family!) so I could get a first hand look at Kensington Cottage.  I was completely in awe of his work.  What a talented man!

I just recently received approval from our HOA so Bob can officially start the project.  Brecken has already given Bob the nickname "Bob the Builder" and is so excited about the house.  We were originally going to do a princess/fireman theme for John but the kids decided that they wanted it to be an ocean themed house instead.  We'll still going to incorporate something firefighter related into the house but that will come in time.
