A few weeks ago, we made a "Countdown to School" chain so I could prepare the kids for their first day of school. Every morning when they woke up, they removed a link from their chain (and of course, compared chains to see how many links they had left!). It's hard to believe that they started school on Monday...Brecken is in Kindergarten and Emma is in Pre-K. They are growing up too fast!
They loved their little chains and I think it helped get them ready for their first days (in addition to the 5 million books we read about starting school!)...I can definitely see us doing this activity again for birthdays, Christmas, etc. So easy and so fun for the kids!
