We Did It!

Brecken and Emma just finished their swim session at Emler Swim School and both graduated to the next level.  It's amazing what they've learned over the past couple of months.  I originally signed them up after hearing about a sweet little girl that drowned this past summer at Lake of the Ozarks.  There are pools everywhere down here so I wanted to make sure that both of them were comfortable in the water.

Brecken started lessons with Mr. Brandon and from day one, the two of them hit it off.  They are both goofy and loud in the pool and Brecken really looks up to him.  He started off by not even wanting to put his head in the water and will now swim about ten feet all by himself!  In addition, he's also made a good buddy in his class so it's fun seeing the two of them so excited to see each other every week.

Emma Grace started lessons with Miss Jean and immediately loved all the songs and dancing that they did.  We had a two-week period where she cried and did not want to go to lessons but she got over that quickly and has learned to love the water and has TONS of fun out there.  She loves getting M&M's as treats and picking out a prize for herself (and Brecken!) at the end of lessons.  She will now swim for about 8 seconds underwater all by herself.

Our next session starts this week and I'm already looking forward to seeing what the kids will learn over the next couple of months.
